Summer Reading...

A couple students have asked me to recommend some books for summer reading, so I thought I'd put some suggestions here for all to see. Some of my favorite 4th/5th/6th grade level books (choose according to where you feel your child's reading ability and interest lie).



Crispin by Avi (or any Avi books - this class loved that author!)

Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan

Soup 1776 or Soup on Wheels by Robert Newton Peck

Schooled or any of the series books by Gordon Korman

Tunnels or Deeper by Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams

any of the 39 Clues books (all authored differently and internet interactive!)

London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd

Iggie's House by Judy Bloom

Al Capone Does My Shirts by Gennifer Choldenko
